NEWS FROM DR. YANKUS
It is with pleasure that I share with you that I have been chosen as one of two candidates to run for president elect of the American Academy of Pediatrics nationally. The election is in August with the winner announced September 1, 2010. If I win, my term is one year as president elect, one year as president and one year as past president. It would involve travel on behalf of the nation’s children and the 61, 000 board certified pediatricians who care for them.
If unsuccessful, I can be thankful that I had the backing of my peers in my profession to feel that I was worthy to be a candidate and to represent them. Stay tuned and remind any pediatricians you know to vote in August at www.aap.org on line. Polls open August 1, 2010.
